Adjustable Cast Iron & Pine Industrial Stool/Table

Description

The circular pine top over an industrial tripod and circular base with triangular stretcher, survives from middle of the twentieth century.

The waxed top has a nice established colour and patina and remains in super condition as is the iron support, which shows oxidization and wear commensurate with age. The piece has several adjustment pegs on its central column to adjust its height and each is held in place by the original iron-fixing rod.

Useful, practical, edgy and timeless are all words that express what industrial furniture has come to mean and like traditional antiques they improve with age and the distress that comes hand in hand with their daily use.

Although probably meant to be sat upon, this piece is just as comfortable as a side table as it is a stool and proves in stellar form when placed in and around other raw and untreated materials within the home such as bare stonewalls or broad wooden floors. Wonderfully effective.
