Description

Oil on canvas by Emily Desvignes active 1850 1880 of cattle and sheep near a stream. Presented in a gilt frame and glazed. Emily Desvignes was a member of the Society of Lady Artists and a known painter of animals.
Signed and dated 1872.
Canvas in superb condition commensurate with the painting unusually framed behind glass. Small loss to gilt beading on frame.
