Description

A good Antique, 18th Century, George II, Sterling Silver Tray made by Ker & Dempster in Edinburgh and dating from c1755.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "K&D" for Ker & Dempster, the "Castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "A" for 1755/66 alongside the Assay Master's mark "HG" for Hugh Gordon.
The tray is supported on three hoofed feet and has shell decoration to the rim.
There is an armorial crest engraved to the centre.
The tray measures 7" inches (180mm) in diameter.
The weight is 203.0g/7.16oz/6.53ozt
It is in very good condition
