Description
A Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy Ladle made in Greenock by Thos. Davie and dating from c1820.There is an engraved initial "H" and number "9" on the handle.
The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's initials "TD" for Thos. Davie, the "anchor" and "green oak tree" for Greenock alongside the letter "C".
Thos. Davie is recorded as working in Greenock c1818 - 1830.
