Description

A nice Antique Georgian English Silver Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, in very good condition and in working order.
Both cases are in good condition. The outer hallmarked with the Lion Passant silver mark, the crowned Leopard's head London town mark, the case maker’s initials "GC" and the date letter "N" for 1808/09. The inner case unmarked.
The Verge Fusee movement is in working order. It is key wound and set. The movement has a nicely engraved balance cock and has the serial number 1844. It is signed by the maker "Edwin Box, Chichester", the dust cover also signed by the maker and with the matching serial number. It is Key wound and set with the key provided.
The white enamel dial is in good condition, but has minor hairlines and chips at the edge (see photo). It has the hours in Roman numerals. The glass is in very good condition.
