Description
A very good Pair of Edwardian English Sterling Silver Sugar Baskets.They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "SILLtd" for Stokes & Ireland Ltd (William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "g" for 1907/8.
The baskets were originally retailed by Mappin & Webb Ltd, the retailer's name stamped on the underside of the base.
