A Scottish Provincial Silver Ladle made by John Heron of Greenock and dating from c1815.The ladle hallmarked with the maker's mark "HERON" for John Heron, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark and date letter "j" for 1815/16.
It has a nicely engraved crest (see photo).
