Description
A Scottish Provincial Silver Tablespoon made by James Erskine of Aberdeen and dating from c1795.James Erskine is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1792 - 1816.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IE" for James Erskine and the letters "ABD" the town mark for Aberdeen.
The spoon is in very good condition, with a minor indent in the bowl near the tip.
The spoon measures in excess of 9" inches in length therefore would make a very nice serving spoon.
