An antique, George II, English Silver Sauce Boat made in London and dating from c1745.
It is hallmarked on the underside of the base with the maker's mark (worn), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Crowned Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "k" for 1745/46.
Nicely decorated with various birds and a cartouche that is free of initials. It is supported on three feet, the initials "TB" engraved on teh underside of one foot.
