A superb Pair of Antique, Victorian, English Sterling Silver Kings Pattern Basting (Stuffing or Gravy) Spoons made by Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London, c1848.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "SH.DC" for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London, the lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark, the Monarchs Head (Queen Victoria) duty mark and date letter "n" for 1848/49.
They have an initial engraved on the handle (see photo).
