A superb, Georgian Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy Ladle made in Aberdeen by James Erskine and dating from c1795.
James Erskine is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Aberdeen c1792 to 1818.
It is marked with the the maker's Aberdeen marks, the letter "E" alongside the "hand & dagger" and "three turrets".
It has the initial "V" on the handle.
A nice, rare Scottish Silver Ladle.
