Description

A Georgian, English Silver Meat Skewer made by Peter, Ann & William Bateman in London, dating from c1800.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "PB,AB,WB" for Peter, Ann & William Bateman (the first initials worn - see photo), the crowned Leopard's Head London town mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the date letter "E" for 1800/01.

There is an armorial crest to one side, slightly worn (see photo)
