A very good, rare Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle made in Dundee by William Constable.
William Constable is recorded as working in Dundee from c1806.
The ladle is marked with the Maker's Mark "WC" for William Constable, alongside the "Pot O' Lilies" Dundee town mark, struck four times.
It has the initials "JH" engraved on the handle.
