Description

A nice Antique English Silver Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, made by Thomas Taylor, Manchester, in very good condition and in working order. Both solid silver cases are in good condition, the outer case with a minor indent to the rear. They are hallmarked with the Lion Passant silver mark, the Birmingham anchor town mark, the case maker’s initials "TS" and the date letter "k" for 1833/34. The Verge Fusee movement is in working order. It is key wound and set. The movement has a nicely engraved balance cock and has the serial number 33217. It is signed by the maker "Thos. Taylor, Manchester.
The dial is in good condition with a couple of very faint hairlines. The original bulls eye glass has some minor surface scratches.
