A lovely set of four Scottish Sterling Silver Novelty Menu or Place Card holders in the form of game birds, made by Brook & Son of Edinburgh and dating from c1937.
The firm of Brook & Son was established in 1891 and traded until 1941, trading from their premises at 87 George Street, Edinburgh (these premises now the home of Hamilton & Inches).
This set is in the form of four game birds.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark B&S for Brook & Son, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter G for 1937/38.
A lovely item in excellent condition.
