Description

A very nice, small Sterling Silver Scottish Quaich made by Robert Stewart of Glasgow.
The firm of R. Stewart, Silversmith, Goldsmith, Jeweller was founded in 1835 and traded from 122 to 134, Argyle Street in Glasgow, they became silversmith and jeweller to Queen Victoria.
A very nice, three handled, plain silver Quaich with no engravings nor personal inscriptions.
The Quaich was assayed in London, it is hallmarked with the maker's mark RS for Robert Stewart, the lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's head London town mark and date letter l for 1906/07.
The Quaich measures 63mm in diameter and the weight is 62.7g.
It is in excellent condition.
