A good quality, antique, English Sterling Silver Soup Ladle made in London and dating from c1792.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark IB, the Monarchs Head duty mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head crowned London town mark and date letter r for 1792/93.
A very good, heavy gauge ladle that is in excellent condition. A nice addition to any collection.
The ladle measures 13 1/2" inches (340mm) in length. The weight is 178.5g/6.29oz/5.73ozt.
A lovely, large, English sterling silver soup ladle, a great serving piece for the special occasion.
