A lovely, vintage English Sterling Silver Novelty Menu or Place Card holder made by Thomas Charles Jarvis, London.
The unusual menu holder is in the form of a Drury Lane advertising man, complete with sandwich board and milestone.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark TCJ for Thomas Charles Jarvis, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the London town mark and date letter. Thomas Charles Jarvis is recorded as working in London c1970-1996.
It measures 55mm in height. The weight is 46.7g.
A lovely item in excellent condition.
