Description

An extremely nice, very good quality, antique, Georgian, English Silver Vinaigrette, made in Birmingham and dating from c1824.
It is hallmarked on the inside of the lid with the maker's mark IB for John Bettridge, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the lion Passant sterling silver mark. The base with the maker's mark IB, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter A for 1824/25.
The box has engraved decoration to all sides and the lid with a vacant rectangular cartouche.
The box measures approximately 35mm x 25mm x 8mm. The weight is 15.0g.
It is in excellent overall condition.
A lovely item for the discerning collector.
