A good, gentleman's sterling silver cased Pocket Watch dating from c1938 by J W Benson, London.
This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order.
The English made, sterling silver case is in good condition, all covers opening and closing tightly as they should. It has full English hallmarks for sterling silver. The maker's mark JWB for J W Benson, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and the date letter B for 1937/38.
The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed J W Benson, London.
The good quality, Swiss made, 15 Jewel movement is in excellent working order.
The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
Overall, this is a very good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection.
