Description

A very good, rare Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon or large Tablespoon made in Banff by William Simpson c1830.
William Simpson is recorded as working in Banff c1825-1855.
The ladle is marked with the Maker's Mark "WS" for William Simpson, the "thistle" mark and Letter "B" for Banff.
It has the initial "Y" engraved on the handle.
The spoon measures 9" inches (230mm) in length. The weight is 61.5g.
It is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to any collection.
