Description

A very nice, 18th century, Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon or large Table Spoon by a relatively rare maker, James Smith, Aberdeen c1790.
James Smith is recorded as working in Aberdeen c1778 - 1801.
The spoon is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IS" for James Smith and "ABD" the Aberdeen town mark.
It measures 8 1/2" inches (220mm) in length. The weight is 66.5g.
It is in excellent condition, a lovely addition to any collection, or for use on a special occasion.
