Description

A very good, rare, George III, Scottish Provincial Silver serving spoon or large table spoon made in Dumfries by David Gray dating from c1815.
David Gray is recorded as working in Dumfries from c1810 - 1841.
The spoon is marked with the Maker's Mark "DG" (struck twice) for David Gray, alongside his marks for Dumfries.
There are initials engraved on the handle.
It is in excellent condition.
It measures 9" inches (230mm) in length. The weight is 77.4g.
