Description

An unusual, antique, Victorian, novelty silver dish in the form of a Viking longship or longboat, datong from c1898.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark (mark worn), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "C" for 1898/99.
The base is stamped with the prestigious London retailer's name Goldsmiths Company, 112 Regent Street.
It is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 120mm in length. The weight is 78.7g
