A very good quality Scottish novelty sterling silver Thistle Whisky Tot Cup, tumbler or beaker made by Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh.
The famous Edinburgh Jewellers & Silversmiths were founded in 1866 and have held the Royal Warrant as silversmiths to Her Majesty the Queen for over 120 years. Hamilton & Inches are still trading from their premises at 87 George Street, Edinburgh.
The tumbler is hallmarked with the maker's mark H&I for Hamilton & Inches, .925 and the Scottish thistle for sterling silver, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter e for 2004.
It measures approximately 40mm in diameter, 50mm in height and the weight is 42.1g.
Complete with original cardboard box/packaging.
A really nice item, it would make an excellent gift. Great for someone to enjoy a dram of whisky (or gin, vodka, rum) on a special occasion.
