Description

A very good, rare, George III, Scottish Provincial Silver serving spoon or large table spoon made in Dundee by William Young dating from c1805.
William Young is a relatively rare maker and is recorded as working in Dundee from c1805.
The spoon is marked with the Maker's Mark "WY" (struck twice) for William Young, alongside the "Pot O' Lilies" Dundee town mark (struck twice).
It has the initial "D" engraved on the handle.
It is in excellent condition.
It measures just over 9" inches (230mm) in length. The weight is 79.7g.
