Description

A good quality English sterling silver Whisky Tumbler Cup.
The tumbler is hallmarked with the maker's mark W&W for Wakely & Wheeler, the Lion passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter C for 1958/59.
The underside of the base has the original retailer's name, Payne & Son, Oxford. Payne & Son were established in 1790 and after eight generations is still in existence today, run by members of the same family.
It measures approximately 57mm in diameter, 45mm in height and the weight is 66.3g.
A really nice item, it would make an excellent gift for a whisky lover. Great for someone to enjoy a dram of Scottish single malt whisky (or gin, vodka, rum) on a special occasion.
