Description

A very good and rare Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made in Banff by William Simpson and dating from c1830.
William Simpson is recorded as working in Banff c1825-1855.
The spoon has a very good set of clear marks, with the Maker's Mark "WS" for William Simpson, a letter "e", the "thistle" mark and letter "B" for Banff. It has an engraved initial.
The spoon is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 5 1/2" inches (140mm) in length. The weight is 16.4g
