Description

A very good, antique, Edwardian gentleman's sterling silver cased, fusee Pocket Watch, Chester c1906.
This watch is a good example, in nice condition and in good working order.
The English made, sterling silver case is in good condition, all covers opening and closing tightly as they should. It has full English hallmarks for sterling silver. The case maker's mark "TRA" for Thomas Richard Arnott (Case maker, Chester Street, Coventry), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and the date letter "F" for 1906/07. The rear of the case with a central cartouche that is free of initials.
The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock.
The good quality fusee movement is in excellent working order. It is key wind and set by the key provided. It has the serial number 55911 to match the case, proving both are original and have been together since new.
The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown).
Overall, this is a very good example, it would make a lovely addition to any collection.
