Description

A very good quality, early Victorian, English Sterling Silver Marrow Scoop made in London and dating from c1843.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark GA for George Adams, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter h for 1843/44.
The shell pattern scoop also has a very nicely engraved armorial crest.
This marrow scoop is in excellent condition.
It measures approximately 9" inches (230mm) in length.
The weight is 54.7g.
A lovely example of English Georgian silver for the antique silver collector.
