A very nice pair of novelty, sterling silver table ornaments, realistically modelled as grouse game birds by Edward Barnard & Sons Limited of Hatton Garden, London dating from c1962.
Each bird is hallmarked with the makers mark for Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter (f for 1961/2 and g for 1962/3).
The model birds are in very good condition.
They measure approximately 115mm in length and 60mm in height. The combined weight of both birds is 328.0g.
A lovely pair of ornamental silver grouse.
