A good pair of antique sterling silver Asparagus Serving Tongs made in Sheffield and dating from 1912.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "TB&S" for Thomas Bradbury & Sons Limited, the Lion Passant silver mark, the crown Sheffield town mark and date letter "U" for 1912.
The tongs measure 9" inches (230mm) in length. The weight is 158.6g/5.59oz/5.09ozt.
An ideal serving piece for us on that special occasion.
