A very nice Scottish Provincial Silver Soup Ladle by Robert Keay, Perth c1840.
Robert Keay II is recorded as working in Perth c1839 - 1856.
The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "RK" (x4) for Robert Keay and the double headed eagle (x3), the Perth town mark.
There is an engraved initial “R” (see photo).
A nice, rare Scottish Silver Soup Ladle in excellent condition.
It measures 13 1/2" inches (345mm) in length. It has a lovely large bowl measuring 4 1/4" inches (110mm) in width.
The weight is 220.5g/7.78oz/7.09ozt
