A superb Antique, Georgian, Scottish Sterling Silver Serving Spoon or large Table Spoon dating from c1809.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "DM", the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the "castle" town mark for Edinburgh and date letter "d" for 1809/10.
It measures over 9" inches (235mm) in length. The weight is 65.7g.
It is in excellent condition. A lovely item for the silver collector or for use on that special occasion.
