A GOOD QUALITY, ANTIQUE GEORGE III, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SALVER WAITER TRAY, LONDON c1766.
A very good quality, Georgian English Sterling Silver small tray or waiter, made in London by Richard Rugg and dating from c1766.
It has very crisp and clear hallmarks, hallmarked with the maker's mark "R.R" for Richard Rugg, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "L" for 1766/67.
The silver tray supported on three feet. It is in very good condition.
It measures approximately 6" inches (155mm) in diameter.
The weight is 188.3g.
A lovely item of Georgian English silver, it would make a great addition to any collection.
