A GOOD, RARE ENGLISH HALLMARKED 9CT SOLID GOLD VESTA CASE.
A very nice English 9ct Gold Vesta Case made by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd of Frederick Street & Great Hampton Street, Birmingham.
The case is fully hallmarked with the maker's mark "SB&SLd" for S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, alongside "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the anchor Birmingham town mark and date letter "O" for 1938/39.
The case measures approximately 48mm x 45mm x 5mm.
The weight is 18.3g
The case has lovely decorative engraving to both the front and rear covers. It is in good overall condition, but does have some very minor indents consistent with age/normal use.
