A GOOD ANTIQUE, VICTORIAN, ENGLISH STERLING SILVER SNUFF BOX BIRMINGHAM c1838.
A very nice, Antique, early Victorian, English Silver Snuff Box. The box was made in Birmingham and dates from c1838.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "FC" for Francis Clark, the Birmingham town mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the date letter "P" for 1838/39.
The box has engine turned decoration to lid, base and all sides.
The box measures approximately 76mm x 40mm x 17mm. The weight is 90.8g.
It is in excellent overall condition.
