Description

A very good quality, antique, early Victorian, Scottish Sterling Silver Bullet Shaped Teapot made by A G Whighton in Edinburgh and dating from c1847.
The base is hallmarked with the maker's mark "AGW" for A G Whighton, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "Q" for 1847/48.
The teapot measures approximately 11 1/2" inches (290mm) in width, 6" inches (150mm) in height. The weight is 722g.
A very nice Scottish teapot in excellent condition.
