Description
A vintage Sterling Silver Plaid Brooch dating from c1949.The brooch was assayed in Glasgow and is hallmarked to the rear with the maker's mark "WBS" for Ward Brothers (Branston Street, Birmingham), the Lion Rampant Scottish Sterling Silver mark, the Glasgow town mark and date letter for 1949/50.
The brooch measures just over 2 1/4" inches (60mm) in diameter.
