Description

A very good quality, Rare, Antique, George II, Sterling Silver small Salver/Tray/Waiter made by Robert Low, Edinburgh and dating from c1743.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "LOW" for Robert Low, Edinburgh, the Assay Master's mark "EL" for Edward Lothian, the "Castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "O" for 1743/44.
The heavy gauge, circular tray is supported on three feet.
There are engraved initials to the centre.
The tray measures just under 6" inches (150mm) in diameter.
The weight is 193.0g/6.80oz/6.20ozt.
It is in very good condition with very minimal light scratches/wear through normal use commensurate with age.
