Description

A very good Antique, Swiss made, Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition and in working order.
This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, therefore would benefit from a clean and service, as recommended for all antique watches.
The plain silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "GD" for Dimier Brothers & Co Ltd (George Dimier), Watch Importer, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC., the ".925" mark for sterling silver, alongside the London town import mark and date letter "q" for 1911/12. The case also has the serial number 100667. The case is in very good condition.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked "Miles per Hour from 1/4 mile distances". There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 5 - 30.
The Swiss made movement in good condition and working order, although would benefit from a service as previously stated. It is signed "Made in Switzerland".
The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 89.3g.
A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.
