Silver Centre Seconds Chronograph, Gabriel, London
Description
A very good, Swiss made, Sterling Silver, Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition, retailed by Gabriel, London. This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, it is not currently working, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair.
The silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "K&M" and the ".935" mark for silver alongside Swiss control marks. The case also has the serial number 36472. The case is in very good condition, with crisp engine turned engraving to the rear and a central cartouche that is free of initials.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked from 5 - 60. There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 3 - 30. It is signed by the retailer "Gabriel, London".
The Swiss made movement appears to be in good condition, however not currently in working order as previously stated.
The watch measures 50mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 97.7g.
A good example of a Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch, a nice addition to any collection.
