Description

A nice, large, George III, English Sterling Silver cream Jug made in London and dating from c1804.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and date letter "I" for 1804/05. Unfortunately the maker's mark is worn and illegible.
There is an armorial family crest to the front (see photo).
A very nice jug in excellent condition.
The jug measures 6 1/2" inches (165mm) from spout to handle. It measures 3 1/2" inches (90mm) in height.
The weight is 241.9g/8.53oz/7.77ozt.
