An impressive, antique, Sterling Silver & Agate mounted Plaid Brooch made by William Henry Leather and dating from c1909.The brooch hallmarked to the rear with the maker's mark "WHL" for William Henry Leather, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "I" for 1909/10.
The brooch measures 2 1/2" inches (62mm) in diameter.
