Description

A rare, antique Victorian Agricultural farming Silver Medal awarded by "Morayshire Farmers Club 1898" to Messrs Law of Mains of Sanquhar, Near Forres, Elgin in the north east of Scotland. The medal awarded for "Best Cow".
The medal complete with the original fitted case by J & F Anderson, Jewellers, Elgin.
The medal is hallmarked with the maker's mark "JF" the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "y" for 1898/99.
It measures 1 3/4" inches (46mm) in diameter.
