Description

A nice Antique Georgian English Silver Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, made by Thomas Leaden, London and dating from c1802.
The watch is complete and in good working condition however it does have damage to the dial in the area of five/six o'clock that would benefit from sympathetic restoration, therefore being sold as in need of restoration.
Both solid silver cases are in good condition. The case is hallmarked with the Lion Passant silver mark, the case maker’s initials "TC", the Leopard's Head Crowned London town mark and the date letter "G" for 1802/03.
The Verge Fusee movement is in working order. It is key wound and set with the key provided. The movement is nicely engraved and is signed by the maker "Thos. Leaden, London".
The original bulls eye glass has some minor surface scratches.
The watch measures 56mm in diameter.
Overall a very good example of a Georgian Pocket Watch.
