Description

A very nice, antique, Victorian English Gentleman's Fusee Pocket Watch dating from c1885.
This watch has been in storage for some time and is NOT currently in working order, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair.
The English silver case has engine turned engraving to the rear cover, with a central cartouche free of engraved initials. The case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark, the Lion passant sterling silver mark, the London town mark and date letter "K" for 1885/86.
The English Lever fuse movement is complete with dust cover. The movement signed by the maker "Robt. Wright, Coventry". It has a nicely engraved balance cock with diamond end stone. The watch is key wound and set (it does not come with a key).
The dial is in good condition but does have some faint hairlines. The glass has a minor edge chip, barely noticeable.
The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case, excluding bow ring).
A nice watch, in need of service/repair to restore it to full working condition.
