Description

A very nice, antique, Victorian English Gentleman's Fusee Pocket Watch dating from c1891.
This watch has been in storage for some time and is NOT currently in working order, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair. The balance swings freely, however the fusee chain is detached.
The English Lever fuse movement is complete with dust cover. It has a nicely engraved balance cock with diamond end stone. The watch is key wound and set (it does not come with a key). It has the serial number 39801 to match the case.
The English silver case has engine turned engraving to the rear cover, with a central cartouche with engraved initials. The case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark, the Lion passant sterling silver mark, the Chester town mark and date letter "H" for 1891/92.

The silver dial has engine turned engraving to the outer chapter and decorative floral engraving to the centre. It has the hours in gold Roman numerals.
The watch measures 52mm in diameter (across the case, excluding bow ring).
A nice watch, in very good condition but in need of service/repair to restore it to full working condition.
