Description

A rare Scottish Provincial Soup Ladle made in Greenock by William Clarke and dating from c1780.
The ladle has very clear marks the maker's mark "WC" for William Clarke, the "anchor" sailing ship" and "Green Oak" for Greenock alongside the letter "C".
The ladle has an engraved initial (see photo).
In very good overall condition, some minor marks in the bowl.
It measures approximately 15" inches (385mm) in length, the bowl 3 3/4" iches (95mm) in diameter.
The weight is 198.4g/7.00oz/6.37ozt
