Description

A very good quality, Antique, William IV, Large English Silver Snuff Box. The box was made by Francis Clark in Birmingham and dates from c1836.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "FC" for Francis Clark, the Birmingham town mark, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark and the date letter "n" for 1836/37.
The box has reeded sides and engine turned decoration to the base. The lid with a plain silver centre surrounded by an engraved border.
The box measures approximately 82mm x 48mm x 20mm. The weight is 94.5g
It is in excellent overall condition.
